On the 21st of November 2008, we had the first Worship Rally ever held in the BB history. I remember when I first had the vision of Worship Rally, it was at the randomest moment. I was listening to some Christian music while on my way back to my mom’s hometown when suddenly I had pictured a mega worship session with all the other BB companies and then many people’s lives being touched by a skit. So together Maka and I brought the idea up to the officers and after lotsa prayer and patience, we finally got the green light. Promotions were done, bookings were placed and practices were scheduled. During the process of getting the worship rally in one piece, I admit many arguments were exchanged and lotsa trials came upon us. Many problems and issues started surfacing one by one like they had been queuing up to attack us but THANK GOD for the strength to carry on !

Finally, the day arrived and we weren’t much prepared. With ongoing worried whether people would come and would everything be alright but we trusted the Lord and Mark took on the stage at 8pm sharp. After that, Ian and his team of talented musicians and vocals led the audience into a time of praise and worship. Right after that, Ka Weng and his awesome team did a skit titled ‘ Everything ‘ which I believe touched many hearts of the people in the sanctuary. Joe and the warehouse project band came to perform next with a few of their newly released album songs before Terry came up to share his mind blasting testimony. Overall, I think worship rally was a success despite many failures. Looking back, many things happened and if it weren’t for God who kept lifting it back up, I think I would have given up on this project. I remember having a HUGE problem with looking for the worship leader. We just couldn’t find anyone to take up the responsibility. Plus, bad news after bad news of other companies not being able to attend and our team just wasn’t ready, but God made it happen. It wasn’t us who did, but it was God’s ever faithful hand of guidance and support. He had never failed to solve any issues or strengthen us up. In my opinion, this worship rally was more of a test of faith for us. It was like the worship rally was more for us. I’m sure that this whole process of organising the event REALLY stretched all of our faith and trust in God, bringing us a bit further in our walk with Him. And it really reminds us that He is always the one in charge, not us. He is really the one and only one worth being in the Centre Of Our Lives.
