SPW- Strategic Planning Workshop : 25th October 2008

The SPW was a 2 day 1 night planning camp for the officers of the 10th KL Boy’s Brigade Company. The SPW was held at Clearwater Golf Sanctuary in Batu Gajah, Perak. This camp had a two fold plan, it was to do the planning for next year’s BB year, and to assess the previous year and see if we had reached our goals set last year. The second was to bring the officers closer together and to foster a sense of belonging and unity among them. The planning sessions were conducted by Mr. Low and LT Angie. They taught the officers about how to categorize the aspects of BB and to list down what came under them. They also taught them how too set goals in these aspects. Then they taught them how to set the action plans that should be used so that the goals could be reached. The officers also made a new Mission statement for the Company so that it sounds youngish at the same time to help our Juniors to comprehend the Mission of 10th KL. Here it goes :

What do you think? Cool, no? Well, we thought so. =D
The calendar for next year was also planned and dates for events and activities were set. The officers were also able to bond and get to know each other a little better through the experience.
Oh yeah, one last thing, the food was AMAZING! They really treated the officers well in this place, let me tell you. There wasn’t a time when anyone was hungry; there was always food for us to eat. We were even complaining that there was too much XD
Anyway, the most important thing was that the path for next year’s BB year has been properly planned and all the dates have been set for the activities and events. The officers also grew closer and are more of a unit now.  PRAISE THE LORD!
